Our Services

GENEX is a national managed care company with 25 years of experience in disability management. GENEX Care for Ohio has been providing services to Ohio employers since 1989.

Medical management provided by GENEX’s highly experienced and professional staff will reduce claim costs in several ways. Our case managers work closely with medical providers to insure that all services provided are medically necessary and fall within recognized treatment guidelines. Additionally, our bill review services analyze all provider bills for accuracy. This service also reprices the bill by applying the state fee schedule and applicable discounts from our network of over 10,000 participating providers.

Our URAC accredited GENEX case managers are educated to work closely with employers, injured workers, and providers, to facilitate a fast and safe return-to-work in either a full or modified duty role. By focusing our activity on return-to-work, we save employers on overall claim cost, as well as the costs associated with reduced worksite production and the cost of replacement workers.

While providing our services GENEX Care for Ohio pledges to:

  • Contact the employer; injured worker, and medical provider within 24 hours of receipt a claim.
  • Quickly and efficiently report claims to the BWC.
  • Process the medical bills of injured workers quickly and accurately applying state fee schedule and any network provider discounts.
  • Keep employers, injured workers, and medical providers informed on claim activity, every step of the way.
  • Meet or exceed all BWC service benchmarks.
  • Staff the MCO with knowledgeable, professional, and service-oriented managed care experts.
  • Use our 25 years of disability management experience to maintain a program that focuses on the highest quality MCO services.
  • Maintain an aggressive quality assurance program designed to continually explore ways to expand and improve the delivery of MCO services.
  • Make an employer specific case management team assignment to insure all claims will be handled by the same staff members.
  • Assist employers with all aspects of the MCO program including employee education, claim summary data, provider network customization, injury data trend analysis, and any other matters of importance to the employer.
  • Provide written statement of Release from MCO Assignment to any employer that is not 100% satisfied with our services.
