Video chronicling injured police officer's rise from spinal cord injury recognized by renowned media academy

WAYNE, PA - May 16, 2018 - Genex Services has been named a 2018 Communicator Award of Distinction winner in the category of Branded Content: Documentary for "The Rise of a Real-Life Robocop: The Jeremy Romero Story."

Genex was recognized for its video case study of Jeremy Romero, a New Mexico police officer who sustained a spinal cord injury while on duty. The video explored Ofc. Romero's recovery and eventual return to work thanks to Genex's case management intervention which allowed him to walk again with the assistance of an exoskeleton device.

The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
