Independent Medical Evaluations
Physician & Peer Review
Peer Review is a retrospective review of a practitioner’s medical treatment plan to determine the medical necessity and appropriateness of the treatment rendered. Our physicians are readily available for depositions and testimony, and they will provide comprehensive reports that include recommendations regarding both past and future medical treatment if requested.
Transferable Skills Analysis & Labour Market Surveys
Genex Services of Canada uses certified vocational professionals who specialize in providing relevant and appropriate Transferable Skills Analysis (TSAs) and Labour Market Survey (LMS) reports that utilize multiple data bases to pinpoint the wage earning ability of claimants.
Information pertaining to the educational, employment, physical capacity, social, and/or psychological status of the individual is significant to the process of determining vocational potential. By quantifying these experiences and competencies in the same terms as used in the National Occupational Classification, conclusions can be drawn with respect to the level of match between the abilities of an individual and the demands of various occupations.
Ergonomic Assessments
Extremely useful in the prevention of future injuries and to help facilitate a return to work, ergonomics is the scientific study of matching the work and work environment to the physical and psychological needs of the worker. Genex Ergonomic Assessment and Training Services include:
- Ergonomic consultation for preventive and case-specific situations in office and industrial environments
- Ergonomic recommendations including administrative strategies, engineering, and/or specific product solutions
- Ergonomic product sources, pricing, and availability
We also offer onsite services that can provide you with clinical or vocational staff, expert consultants, and training for your staff.
Physical Demands Analysis
Genex Services of Canada works directly with employers to develop the Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) for each position within the company, either company-wide or on an individual basis.
PDAs are invaluable when working with the occupational and non-occupational claims in the return-to-work process. Because they are becoming more prevalent throughout the industry, Genex Services of Canada has developed a standard protocol and is able to tailor the development to suit the employer's need.
Functional Abilities Evaluations
Functional Abilities Evaluations (FAE) objectively determine the claimant’s functional abilities and restrictions, such as strength, dexterity, and endurance. By comparing FAE results to job requirements, the evaluation helps to facilitate a safe and timely return to the workplace. It can also help insurers to determine the extent to which physical impairments are present. Genex Services of Canada utilizes the ARCON/FACTS FAE system.
